This collection includes programs, schedules of events, newspaper clippings, and other documents related to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Program held in January at Elon University. The collection is arranged chronologically.

This collection includes papers relating to the May Day Celebrations at Elon. The main purpose of May Day is to celebrate the unity of different nations in this world through the common bonds of mutual interests. There has been different celebrations concerning May Day worldwide, but they all express the purpose of welcoming a change of season, which is Spring.
May Family Papers
The collection contains both personal and professional records related to the May family, who owned and operated textile mills in Burlington, NC during the 20th century. Papers include personal correspondence, genealogical information, family photographs, legal records (such as deeds, estate records, military and pension records, and others), and business records and ephemeral related to the May textile business (including the May Hosiery Company).

This is a large ledger book that has the minutes of the Ohio Central Christian Conference from 1912-1920.
Minutes of the Virginia Central Christian Conference
This collection has two ledger books. The first has the minutes from 1849-1892; the second book has the minutes of the Virginia Central Christian Conference from 1893-1904.
Minutes of the Virginia Valley Central Christian Conference
This is a large ledger book that has the minutes of the Virginia Valley Central Christian Conference from 1905-1926. The Virginia Valley Conference and the Virginia Central Conference reunited in 1905.
Minutes of the Virginia Valley Christian Conference
This ledger is the record book of the Virginia Valley Christian Conference from 1869-1904. It has the handwritten minutes of each annual session.
Mrs. W. V. Leathers Collection
This is a collection of documents from Mrs. W. V. Leathers, a prominent figure in the Southern Convention of the Christian Church and Congregational Christian Churches, as well as the United Church of Christ. Materials include meeting minutes, reports, histories, financial ledgers, programs, guidebooks, manuals, yearbooks, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, devotionals, certificates, and photographs. There are also a small number of artifacts included in the collection.
Music Events Collection
This collection contains programs, flyers, brochures, correspondences, posters, and any other type of printed material that relates to a music event that took place at Elon University. Negative Collection (General)
North Carolina Student Legislature, Elon University Chapter Collection
This collection includes documents and information about the North Carolina Student Legislature (NCSL) and the Elon Delegation. The NCSL has students participate in the general assembly, and this provides students with a close-up practical education with the political and legislative processes. Also, the NCSL provides students a statewide forum to express their ideas about current issues concerning state and national leaders.
Office of Cultural Events Collection
This collection was created from documents collected by planning committees for annual events. These papers help the university plan large events and coordinate faculty, staff and students.
Office of the University Registrar Collection
Office of University Communications Collection
This collection is comprised of a complete set of proofs and publications produced by the Office of University Communications between 1962 and 2011, with the bulk of publications produced between the 1990s and the early 2000s. The original order of the collection has been maintained. The collection is arranged alphabetically by the names of offices, organizations, or events for whom publications were produced and then chronologically within each office, organization, or event.
O’Kelly Chapel Contents Collection
This collection consists mostly of ledgers for the chapel’s Sunday School classes, ranging from 1891 to 1952. There is a handful of other documents, including a note book with a list of members and their addresses, as well as other documents.
Phi Beta Kappa Collection
This collection includes documents related to the Phi Beta Kappa chapter at Elon University. Elon was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa Society in October of 2009 and Elon installed the Phi Beta Kappa chapter during Convocation for Honors on April 13, 2010. Items in this collection include (but not limited to): correspondences, meeting minutes, programs, invitations, applications, and reports. The collection is arranged chronologically and then alphabetically by type of material.
Philip L. Carret Thomas Jefferson Essay Competition Collection
This collection contains materials relating to the endowed Philip L. Carret Thomas Jefferson Essay Competition at Elon University. The essay competition was endowed in 1997 and was designed to have students reflect on the principles and ideals in Thomas Jefferson's life and career. The collection is arranged alphabetically and then chronologically by type of material. Presidential Records Collection
This collection is a compilation of papers from each of Elon's presidents, from President Smith to President Lambert. It includes papers that are relevant to the time in which each person held the presidency and the events around the college and the world. Many of them include correspondence from various people connected to the town of Elon or the college itself, and the business they conducted. The collection only includes a rough inventory of the collection.
Project Pericles Collection
The Project Pericles Collection is comprised of materials describing activities and events that have taken place within the Project Pericles program at Elon. The collection is arranged chronologically and then alphabetically by type of material.
Ralph Ganis Collection
The collection is arranged into three series: Coble Letters, Albright Letters, and Stigers Letters. The Coble and Albright series includes correspondences between relatives detailing their lives and surroundings in Alamance County, North Carolina and Clay County, Missouri. The Stigers series contains additional background information pertaining to the research that Ralph Ganis conducted for the book he wrote in 2007, Desperate measures: Jesse James and the Klan battles of Reconstruction.
Records And Accounts Of The Christians In The South Prior To The War Between The States
This is a bound manuscript containing the typed transcriptions of records relating to the early history of the James O’Kelly Christian Church. They were compiled by W. E. MacClenny and presented to Elon College in May of 1912 to complete degree requirements.
Reid Maynard Family Collection
This collection consists of photographs and documents related to the family of Reid Maynard (1896-1983), longtime Elon College trustee and benefactor. There are five ferrotype photographs of Maynard’s grandparents and father Walter Andrew Maynard, most likely from the 1860s. There are also three letters, two dated 1892 to Olivia Atwater, Reid Maynard’s mother, as well as a letter dated 1944 addressed to Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Maynard, then living in the Town of Elon College.
Residence Life Collection
The collection houses information pertaining to Residence Life at Elon University. This includes information about all of the dormitories that have ever existed on Elon's campus, including the current: Colonnades, Danieley, East, Global, and Historic Neighborhoods. Information about various Living Learning Communities (LLC's) around campus are also included.
