Biographical / Historical
The Student Government Association began early in the history of Elon College. Records housed in this collection begin in 1919, and continue through today. SGA has had a part in creating regulations around the university as well as creating events around Elon.

Language of Materials
The purpose of the Student Government Association, authorized by the Elon University Administration, is to represent the rights and opinions of the student body in a manner consistent with the mission of Elon University, to provide for appropriate student activities, and to join with the faculty and administrators of the university in building a stronger, more effective educational community.
This collection is arranged into fifteen boxes. All fifteen boxes are arranged chronologically and then alphabetically by type of material.
The collection is located in the Carol Grotnes Belk Library Archives and Special Collections at Elon University. Please contact the Archivist and Special Collections Librarian for further details about the location.
