Scope and Contents

The Student Union Board Collection includes documents starting in 1984-2016. The collection includes budget requests, constitutions, correspondence, and schedules of events. A majority of the materials included in the collection are budget requests starting in 1984 and continuing into 2000. Also included in the collection are flyers and notices informing Faculty/Staff and students of SUB sponsored events including a haunted house and video buttons in honor of the 1988 Spring Fling.

Biographical / Historical

Founded in 1984, the Student Union Board (SUB) is a student run organization dedicated to planning exciting events for students. Two of their main events are the fall musical performer and the spring comedian. Past guests have included: Nasim Pedrad, Ludacris, Timeflies, the Chainsmokers, B.O.B., Kate McKinnon, Big Sean, Mac Miller, Neon Trees, Wale, Super Mash Bros, Aer, Sarah Colonna, Third Eye Blind, Maroon 5, Mike Birbiglia, Gavin DeGraw, O.A.R, Jack’s Mannequinn, Lupe Fiasco and Girl Talk. In addition to the fall and spring events, SUB sponsors several smaller events throughout the semester. Past events have included movie nights and a haunted house open to students and their families.
