Edith Brannock Papers

This collection includes a variety of materials and documents that relate to the history of athletics at Elon University. The collection primarily contains information about sports that have existed at Elon over the years, as wll as information relating to intramurals, the athletic committee, women's athletics, and the Sports Hall of Fame.
Elon Band Collection
This collection contains materials related to the band at Elon University dating from 1907 to present day. It includes photocopied photographs from Elon's yearbook, PhiPsiCli, relating to the band, correspondences, newspaper and magazine clippings, and other printed materials. This collection contains materials regarding the Elon Players at Elon College. It contains materials dating between 1940 and 1978. This collection includes materials documenting the establishment and ongoing activities of the Elon University School of Law, located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Elon University Scrapbook Collection
The Elon University Scrapbook Collection consists of various scrapbooks compiled by Elon alumni, graduating classes, organizations, and events. The majority of the scrapbooks are from the early to mid-1900’s with several dated post-1970. The majority of the scrapbooks are from individuals who recount their experiences through writing and pictures.
Elon University Video collection
This collection consists of moving images/video created primarily by Elon University organization, partners, and affiliates. The materials document social, cultural, and academic events, activities, people, and traditions of Elon University. Formats include, but are not limited to; VHS, DVDs, reel to reel, U-matic, mini DV’s, DVCAM’s, external hard drives, and born-digital content.
Elsie Boggs and Richard Wade McPherson Collection
This collection contains letters sent to Richard Wade McPherson between the years 1919 and 1921. Letters mostly came from Elsie Boggs and contained details about her life at Elon, but McPherson also received letters from Thomas Griffin, Paramalee Crotts and Verna.
Emmett Leonidas Moffitt Collection
This collection includes materials relating to Emmett Leonidas Moffitt, President of Elon College from 1905 to 1911. These are the only known "Presidential Files" we have from Dr. Moffitt's administration. Some of the materials relate directly to his time as President, while other documents have been collected over the years to form the collection. Faculty and Staff Awards Luncheon Collection
The collection is comprised of programs and other printed materials describing the annual Faculty Awards Luncheon that occurs near the end of the spring semester. The awards ceremony began in 1973 with the presentation of the first Daniels-Danieley Award for Excellence in Teaching. The collection is arranged chronologically.

Founders Day Collection
This collection includes documents relating to Founders Day celebrations and events at Elon University. The first Founders Day celebration took place on September 14, 1939 and has continued sporadically throughout Elon's history. Gap Semester Collection
Similar to the gap-year experiences of many European college students, the Gap Semester Program allowed Elon students to defer traditional courses and participate in an experiential learning semester that combined travel and service during the fall semester of their first year of college. The collection consists of the proposal for the Gap Program, as well as a copy of the handbook issued to participants for each fall semester from 2012 to 2016.
