This is a collection of documents, artifacts, photographs, and recordings which belonged to Dr. Jack O. White (1927-2019), Professor of Music Emeritus at Elon College (now University). A renowned teacher and trumpeter, Dr. White taught at Elon from 1962-1986. The collection is organized into seven series: Academic Work, Artifacts, Awards, Correspondence, Photographs, Printed Material, and Recordings.
This collection consists of moving images/video created primarily by Elon University organization, partners, and affiliates. The materials document social, cultural, and academic events, activities, people, and traditions of Elon University. The awards ceremony began in 1973 with the presentation of the first Daniels-Danieley Award for Excellence in Teaching. The collection is arranged chronologically.
