Abstract

This collection includes documents and materials relating to the Elon University Board of Trustees. The types of materials included (but not limited to) are meeting minutes, agendas, committee work, correspondences, reports, financial documents, and charter/by-laws. According to the 2011-2012 Faculty Handbook, "Elon University is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees consisting of 41 persons: 36 regular trustees, 2 youth trustees, and 3 ex-officio trustees."

Abstract This collection contains items such as deeds, indentures, legal agreements, contracts, and certificates that relate in some manner to Elon University. Many of the documents included in the collection pertain to land surrounding Elon University that was purchased or donated to the institution.
